Choosing Your Roommates
You’ll need to decide how many people you want to live with. Aha! This is a difficult question if you’ve never lived with roommates before. Here are some points to consider when determining how many people you can comfortably live with:
- Every additional roommate brings their own set of friends with them. If you share a house with four people, that means five groups of friends will be cycling through your home. Is this something you’re prepared to handle?
- The more roommates there are, the more complicated it becomes to manage household responsibilities.
- Do you crave privacy or need absolute quiet to concentrate? If so, you may do best with one or two roommates—or even a place of your own, if you can afford it.
