The Emily Post Institute
Wedding Stories Survey
What is the essence of a wedding? Peggy Post and Peter Post are co-authoring a book aimed at empowering couples to plan something different – perhaps less extravagant – than the traditional wedding, yet be every bit as wonderful, romantic – and socially correct. They want to bring the focus back to a celebration of the union of two madly in love people rather than a competition.
To illustrate the limitless wedding possibilities that exist, Peter and Peggy are asking couples who did something refreshingly different or who added a unique twist to their wedding to tell their story. They will choose stories from those submitted to be used in their upcoming book, Essential Weddings (HarperCollins, Spring 2007).
Thank you for sharing your story with us. We appreciate your time and interest, and we wish that we could use every story submitted. If your story is chosen we will contact you for additional details and to receive permission to use your story as part of the book. People whose stories are selected will receive copies of the Etiquette, (17th edition) by Peggy Post, The Gift of Good Manners by Peggy Post and Cindy Post Senning, and Essential Manners for Couples by Peter Post.
