Amy Nichols Special Events is a full service wedding and event management company based in San Francisco. Amy combines corporate professionalism honed from nine years working as a corporate event planner in the financial services industry with developing creative entertainment opportunities for her clients. While working in finance, Amy spent her free time interning with celebrity wedding and event planners in New York and Los Angeles, knowing that eventually she'd start her own wedding planning business.

In 2005, Amy's dream of having her own business came true and she opened the doors of Amy Nichols Special Events. Amy loves working with her clients because each has a different story of how they met, and a unique vision for their wedding day. No two weddings are alike: Amy has had the pleasure of working with couples from different cultural and religious backgrounds and she also has experience planning destination weddings. Amy's goal is to avoid the "cookie-cutter" wedding, help couples develop their own vision and focus on the elements of their wedding day that are most important to them.

She enjoys advising her clients on etiquette situations, and she often refers to her many books from the Emily Post Institute to help clients make the right choice when faced with a social dilemma.

What makes Mark’s weddings special?
Whose Wedding is it Anyway?“Attention to detail is always the driving force behind my business—it begins with my ability to listen to every client.

Many people never ask the couple, ‘What do you see your wedding looking like?’ ‘What are your fears?’ ‘Where do you see my expertise helping you?’

Too many people begin with ‘What is your budget?’ ‘Which package do you want?’ For me it will never be about how much; my desire has always been to break the stereotype of ‘Wedding planners are only for people with a ton of money.’

Every couple will always get my personal attention, professional expertise and honest opinion. My job is to facilitate ideas into reality, and give guidance, direction and support to help eliminate stress.”

A Graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Mark offers a mix of 25 years of catering and event planning, training with renowned bridal shops, floral designers and photographers. And in a pinch, Mark can even marry you; he’s an ordained officiant.

In addition to speaking at wedding events across the country, Mark coordinates monthly educational meetings for members of the Association of Bridal Consultants in the Greater Philadelphia area. Mark's media interviews include USA Today, the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Wall Street Journal, just to name a few.
