Q. My church won’t allow photographs to be taken during the ceremony. I had my heart set on a photo of my dad walking me down the aisle. Is there any way around this?
A.Yes. You can have the photographer take simulated ceremony shots before the wedding or re-create them afterward. Check with the officiant to see when the church would be available. If the photos are to be staged before the wedding, make sure that they will be completed at least an hour before the ceremony begins. They should never be taken while guests are arriving and being seated.
If you are having the photos taken between the wedding and reception, keep it brief (your guests are waiting!) and have a prepared list of the images you want to re-create.
